From the Water Ring series
Adrienne Pike's Water Ring series is expressive of the importance nature occupies in her work. The realism of the paintings is given counterpoint by an engagement with qualities of dream and the abstract.
In her words: "The Water Ring Series has been the focus of my work and began nearly seven years ago. These paintings are based on my thoughts of the importance of water to life on this planet and more recently the ripple effect...how one small thing can change everything else around it."
Larrissa Nickel is a painter and multi-media artist living and working in Lancaster, Ca. With a particular interest in body image, she has developed original and insightful methods of putting the body image on view in her work.
Phil is a local artist currently attending Otis College of Art & Design.
Diego Johnson is a painter and friend of Sagebrush Cafe from Brazil, working out of Uruguay. You can see much more of his work at his website. It's worth the click, and then some.
Joni Hess is a friend of Sagebrush Cafe, orginally from the Antelope Valley, now working out of Oakland, CA. You can view more of her artwork at jonihess.etsy.com.
In her own words: "Each item I create is filled with positive energy and happy thoughts. Every piece is a reflection on my peculiar world view, and an exercise in helping me to decide what exactly that might be."

Here begins our semi-local-photo-journal. If you've got some pictures of "the area" please submit them to art@sagebrush-cafe.com.
Please visit our "About" page for links to local art venues, Los Angeles Art venues, and more websites of affiliated artists.
Those of us who are lucky enough to know some artists, also know that it isn't easy to be a professional painter, musician, or writer.
Sagebrush Cafe honors the voices of our friends and community-artists and would like to say thank you for doing what you do.
We'd also like to help bring notice to the works of artists of all sorts. If you've got art to share or ideas as to how we make the arts a visible and real part of our day to day lives, we're listening...(send us an email.)
We are always looking for artists to show at Sagebrush Cafe, to share their vision, and to give us something to look at. If you're an artist and have an inquiry about showing at Sagebrush, please contact us either at: art@sagebrush-cafe.com or via the comments section on our "contact us" page.
If you'd like to purchase any of the artwork you've seen in Sagebrush Cafe or on our website, please contact us.
